Sunday Post Again

Arisia 2018 has come and gone. We both had a good time. We both volunteered the week leading up to the convention. We both worked enough hours to each earn a free Arisia 2018 t-shirt, and free memberships to Arisia 2019.

The Super Bowl is next Sunday. The New England Patriots will be playing the Philadelphia Eagles. I plan on watching the Super Bowl with my friend Eileen and her girlfriend Jamie at their place in Quincy.

I went to a free concert at the Thomas Crane Public Library today. The Thomas Crane Public Library does an Annual Winter Concert Series every year. The concerts happened almost every Sunday, from 3-4pm, from January to March. The Promise is Hope is the name of the duo that performed today. They are a married couple who live in Worcester, MA. They released their debut album a few years ago, and are working on a second album right now. I enjoyed their songs. They both have great singing voices, and a story behind each song that they sang. I'd go to another one of their concerts if they happen to be performing around here again.

First Post of 2018

We got hit with a pretty substantial snowstorm here in Massachusetts this week. I think that our part of the state got something like 13 inches of snow. I spent Thursday (the day of the storm) indoors. I baked chocolate chip cookies. I did three loads of laundry. I chatted with a few of our neighbors throughout the day, joking with them about being housebound and bored. I paid some bills online. I drank copious amounts of tea. I watched old episodes of "House Hunters International" on Hulu. I read. I watched the snow fall outside our windows, and felt thankful that we don't live in one of the coastal areas that saw so much flooding as a result of this storm (Hull, Scituate, Boston's Seaport District, parts of Weymouth and Quincy). Since Adrian works from home, he didn't get a snow day, unfortunately.

Arisia (annual science fiction/fantasy convention that has been held every year in the Greater Boston area since 1990) is next weekend, which is also Martin Luther King Jr. weekend. This convention has a special place in my heart, as this is the convention where Adrian asked me out, and I agreed to go out on a date with him.
