Is It Spring Yet?

I visited my Mom last week for her birthday. The highlight of the week for me was going to the Philadelphia Flower Show on Sunday, March 11th. The Philadelphia Flower Show is an annual event organized by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society. The theme for the 2018 show was "Wonders of Water", and it was held at the Philadelphia Convention Center on Arch Street.

In other news, I am ready for March to be over. The East Coast has been hit by thee (3!!!) nor'easters so far this month, and we're supposed to be hit by a fourth storm tomorrow. :-/ I am not a happy camper.

Post Snow Post

Yesterday's storm turned out to be not that bad, actually. Things started off overcast and cold, with a bit of a breeze. I managed to get out for long enough to run some errands. By the time I got home, it had started to rain. It rained for a few hours, and then turned to snow at some point in the evening.

Looking out of our balcony window now, it looks like snow is being blown around by the wind. I can hear someone shoveling outside, probably clearing snow away from the recycling bins and trash dumpsters for easier access.

Adrian and I saw "Black Panther" this week, which we both really enjoyed. I think that "Black Panther" is the best Marvel movie to date.

Adrian will be busy working both jobs while I am out of town. I know that Season Two of "Jessica Jones" is being released on Netflix either today or tomorrow, so I know that our friend Paul will probably be interested in coming over at some point to watch some episodes with Adrian.

Feeling Anxious

I am in the throes of my usual pre-travel panic, which means that I am doing chores such as cleaning the condo, and doing laundry, and generally feeling anxious.

So, yeah. That is how I am feeling right now - generalized anxiety, and also not looking forward to the weather we're supposed to be getting Wednesday into Thursday. Blah.

Tired

Tomorrow is supposed to be a rainy day with high winds. Flooding is expected. I am thankful that we live inland, and that we live on the third floor of our condo complex.

March is Women's History Month. Purim was yesterday. I remember how, when I was living in Allston with my old roommate Julia, we made hamantaschen one year to celebrate. We used store bought jams/jellies for the fillings, and made homemade dough, using a recipe that I think Julia found online. Or was it an old family recipe? I don't remember.

I am feeling tired.
